Job description

The Senior Software Engineer role at Microsoft Azure involves collaborating with stakeholders to innovate and enhance cloud capacity management technologies. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • 4+ years of experience in designing, building, and managing distributed systems within a cloud environment.
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams to establish and maintain high standards of operational quality.
  • 4+ years of experience working with stakeholders to derive requirements and deliver results.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a scenario.
  • Drives identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
  • Creates, implements, optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability.
  • Leverages subject-matter expertise of product features and partners with stakeholders to drive project plans.
  • Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers in monitoring system performance.
  • Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to trends that improve product availability and performance.
