Job description
The Services Finance Data Science and Engineering team at Apple is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to enhance the financial data platform. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a data science or related analytical role
- Bachelor's degree in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science, economics, or related quantitative field
- Strong programming proficiency in Python or R
- Expertise in SQL and data wrangling with large-scale datasets
- Strong foundation in statistical methods and machine learning
- Experience with prompt engineering and developing agentic AI workflows
- Advanced modeling expertise in time series forecasting, Bayesian methods, or anomaly detection
- Experience with interactive visualization tools and report generation frameworks
Responsibilities
- Drive the financial data platform forward by extracting and curating data from various sources
- Translate complex business requirements into actionable data-driven solutions
- Utilize AI coding assistants to accelerate development and maximize productivity
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Build and consume REST APIs and ensure database connectivity
- Implement software engineering practices including Git and CI/CD pipelines
