This role involves participating in the development of next-generation online and in-store payment services at Amazon. The team focuses on building systems that process payments at a large scale with high accuracy and availability. Engineers will work on innovative solutions to enhance customer experience across various payment methods and currencies. This position offers the opportunity to grow within one of the fastest-growing areas of Amazon's Payments Services platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain payment processing systems that handle millions of transactions daily.
- Design and implement scalable software solutions using languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and improve customer payment experiences.
- Ensure the reliability and scalability of existing systems through effective design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews, source control management, and testing processes.
