The position also requires maintaining a TS/SCI security clearance and involves working with a team of skilled professionals committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
  • 4+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
  • 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems

  • Experience taking a leading role in building complex software or computing infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for a small engineering team throughout the full software lifecycle.
  • Identify, plan, deliver, and operate software and processes that generate customer-obsessed improvements for AWS operations.
  • Work with AWS engineers to identify process automation opportunities.
  • Perform full-lifecycle software development with constant customer interaction to scope, design, implement, test, deliver, and operate software solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting automation solutions and the entire S3 service in unique regions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
