Job description
The iPhone Hardware System Design Team is looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer to contribute to future iPhone innovations. This role involves developing system power consumption models and validating power performance throughout the product development cycle. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze hardware and improve power modeling methodologies. The position requires hands-on lab investigations and debugging of power-related issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Knowledge in system architecture power and performance metrics for computer technologies.
- Hands-on lab experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and analog circuits.
- Proficiency in automation, programming, and scripting with tools like Matlab or Python.
- Relevant experience in consumer hardware or electronics industries.
- Experience in hardware/software power analysis and optimization.
- Familiarity with battery modeling and management concepts.
- Understanding of statistical tools for field data analysis.
- Executive-level presentation experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop system power consumption and usage models.
- Publish system level power estimates for various customer usage scenarios.
- Own system-level power validation and analyze next-generation hardware.
- Perform hands-on lab investigations and debug power-related issues.
- Work with the team to improve power modeling and validation methodologies.
