Job description

KLA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical and interconnect architecture in advanced semiconductor equipment. This role focuses on defining and driving the system-level architecture for power and signal distribution across the tool. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure robust, manufacturable, and safe electrical implementations. The position involves hands-on CAD work and guiding support teams in routing cables and related hardware.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Significant experience in system-level electrical architecture for complex equipment.
  • Ability to lead the overall routing architecture and translate top-level system requirements into robust implementations.
  • Hands-on experience performing CAD / ECAD work, including development and maintenance of routing and interconnect design content.
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the system-level electrical routing architecture, including power distribution strategy and cable architecture.
  • Define, develop, and maintain authoritative interconnection diagrams gathering subsystem interfaces and device connectivity.
  • Perform power distribution, signal conditioning, and overall electrical architecture design at the system level.
  • Architect and coordinate IO racks, motion-drive interfaces, and cable breakouts in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Translate top-level system requirements into subsystem electrical requirements and implementation constraints.

Benefits

  • Employees at KLA are often offered competitive pay with bonuses, a 401(k) match, an employee stock purchase program, and financial perks like student-debt assistance, planning support, and group insurance discounts. Health and lifestyle benefits typically include medical/dental/vision, life and other voluntary coverages, paid time off and holidays, family leave, backup care, wellness rewards, gym discounts, and community-volunteering opportunities. Employees also get strong growth support through tuition reimbursement, KLA’s corporate learning center, education awards, and engineering certification programs.
