Job description

The Core Device Management team is seeking a dedicated engineer to enhance device management applications for Apple devices in educational and enterprise settings. This role involves influencing product features and implementing new OS-level functionalities while collaborating with various teams across Apple. The focus is on developing innovative solutions that improve the user experience without compromising device management capabilities. The engineer will work with technologies like Mobile Device Management and Declarative Device Management to support millions of devices globally.

Requirements

  • Experience with professional software development in a C-like programming language such as Swift, Objective-C, Java, C++, or C#.
  • Familiarity with concurrent programming concepts and design patterns, including multi-threading, serialization, and locking.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies while collaborating with others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, an engineering-related field, or equivalent related experience.
  • Familiarity with device management technologies such as MDM and Declarative Device Management.
  • Working knowledge of key Apple technologies like CoreData, libdispatch, XPC, and Swift concurrency.
  • Experience with framework, daemon, and/or public API development, particularly for macOS.
  • Experience implementing client-server network communication.
  • Experience coding in Swift or Objective-C.
