Job description

The Product Engineering Specialist will join the engineering team at Cummins Inc. in Troy, MI, focusing on high-quality product decisions and cross-discipline execution. This role involves driving product reliability and managing engineering processes while providing independent technical leadership. The specialist will work on engineering analysis and design for axle and suspension components, utilizing CAD/CAE tools. The position requires a strong background in engineering principles and hands-on experience in product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related STEM field is required.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline may be required for select roles.
  • Minimum of 4 years of full-time direct, practical experience in engineering.
  • Experience with off-highway or specialty vehicle products and systems is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with designing large castings and familiarity with Ansys is an advantage.
