Job description

The Senior ML Engineer and Staff ML Engineer roles at Uber's AV Labs focus on developing advanced autonomy algorithms and models to enhance the understanding of driving data. Requirements

  • Expert-level proficiency in Python and Linux environments.
  • Deep expertise in modern AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy for the development of autonomy algorithms and foundation models.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of complex, large-scale ML systems.
  • Mentor senior and lead engineers, fostering a culture of rigorous experimentation.
  • Define the requirements for high-quality datasets and auto-labeling systems.
