Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in HVAC/Mechanical buildings-related design projects
  • Experience with Revit
  • Proficiency in load calculation and energy modeling software such as Trace 3D Plus or Carrier HAP
  • Federal security clearance is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall Conceptual and Basis of Design level design approaches and documentation
  • Develop HVAC and plant utility systems philosophies
  • Create mechanical and utility equipment specifications
  • Perform temperature, humidity control, and utility load calculations
  • Develop airflow diagrams, pressurization plans, and ductwork and piping plans
  • Create building management system control philosophy and Sequence of Operations
  • Provide construction assistance through submittal reviews and field visits
  • Travel as required for client development and project implementation
