Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Geotechnical/Environmental Engineer to join the Resilience Environment team in Syracuse NY, Arlington VA, or Dallas TX. The role involves working with Senior Scientists, Engineers, and Project Managers to support utility expansion, environmental assessment, and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and team-building skills, and will be comfortable with a dynamic workflow. This position focuses on improving quality of life through sustainable design and engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate area of engineering
  • 3 years of relevant experience in engineering
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Advanced research, data gathering and analysis skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide program support for a diverse portfolio of projects.
  • Participate in field investigations, sampling activities, and construction oversight.
  • Engage in face-to-face meetings with contractors, clients, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance for remediation systems.
  • Conduct soil and groundwater investigations and sample collection.
  • Perform site characterization and feasibility studies.
  • Compile, evaluate, and ensure quality assurance/quality control of data.
  • Write reports and provide permitting and cost estimating support.
  • Coordinate with project managers and senior engineering staff.
  • Interpret and evaluate field and analytical data to prepare engineering parameters and permit applications.
