The Data Center Engineer III role at Google focuses on the physical design and engineering of data centers. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with mission critical facilities, focusing on data center multi-tenant facilities.
- 3 years of experience performing mechanical system analysis and using common engineering software packages.
- 3 years of experience in the bidding, design, operation, and commissioning of mechanical distribution systems.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate data center designs based on program requirements, redundancy levels, availability goals, and risk factors.
- Perform compliance reviews and due diligence of data center physical infrastructure for the deployment of Google services.
- Identify and resolve issues raised by cross-functional teams and various external stakeholders.
- Reinforce standards across all regions to ensure consistency and successful product delivery per Google’s standards.
