Job description
The Fabrication Equipment Engineer role at Google focuses on ensuring the installation, reliability, and optimization of semiconductor fabrication tools used in quantum device manufacturing. Requirements
- 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing semiconductor fabrication equipment.
- 5 years of experience with photolithography, vacuum/plasma tools, or packaging equipment.
- 5 years of experience working with hazardous chemicals and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure maximum uptime of fabrication tools.
- Lead the scoping, evaluation, and procurement of new process equipment for quantum manufacturing.
- Manage equipment installations, retrofits, and upgrades while liaising with external vendors.
- Support operations across multiple facilities to ensure consistent equipment standards.
- Analyze tool reliability data to optimize maintenance schedules and enhance equipment availability.
