The Senior Electrical Controls Engineer at Amazon Web Services will be part of a global engineering team responsible for designing and implementing energy-efficient electrical controls systems for data centers. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams to drive standardization and innovation in electrical controls. The engineer will also participate in research and development of new technologies while providing mentorship to the engineering community. • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
• Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM 360
• 6+ years of design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
• Knowledge of electrical and controls systems for critical infrastructures
• Professional Engineering or Architectural License is preferred
• Minimum 2+ years experience with products requiring controls designs

• Design and implement energy-efficient electrical controls systems for data centers
• Create comprehensive documentation for electrical EPMS controls designs and operational procedures
• Support continuous improvement through data analysis and system optimization
• Guide project teams through planning, execution, and commissioning phases
• Conceive, initiate, and lead projects with widespread impact on infrastructure design, innovation, and implementation
• Work with internal teams to understand user requirements and challenges
• Collaborate with teams or individuals from other disciplines, cultures, and countries
• Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications and reports
• Drive standardization in the data center electrical-controls space
• Provide technical support on global Large Scale Events, including participation on deep dives and investigations
