Job description

This role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focuses on innovating and providing solutions for relational databases at scale. The team is responsible for ensuring the availability and durability of the world's largest fleet of relational databases in the cloud. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems
  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
  • Experience designing stateful Apache Flink applications utilizing CDC ingestion, checkpoint optimization, and exactly-once delivery into Apache Iceberg or similar lakehouse formats
  • Proven ability to build REST APIs for lifecycle management and deploy high-throughput, low-latency workloads on EKS/Kubernetes
