Job description

NVIDIA is seeking a Hardware Customer Quality Engineer to support customer quality assurance activities in Santa Clara, California. This individual contributor role focuses on establishing relationships with customers, addressing their quality concerns, and acting as their voice within the company. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to drive problem-solving efforts and improve customer satisfaction. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, quality, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in an electronics customer quality role.
  • Customer interface experience is critical.
  • Excellent proficiency with 8D problem-solving tools and methods.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with a logical approach to problem solving.
  • Good time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience coordinating teams across multiple disciplines.
  • Proficient in using MS Office software tools and data analytical tools.

Responsibilities

  • Participate and lead conference calls and face-to-face meetings with customers related to quality.
  • Track customer quality metrics and report regularly to customers and internal management.
  • Coordinate and participate in customer audits for NVIDIA HQ and contract manufacturers.
  • Quickly assimilate technical details during crisis situations to understand critical issues.
  • Interface with customers, integrators, and partners onsite to support problem-solving efforts.
  • Craft customer presentations covering statuses of root cause, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
  • Work cross-functionally among internal organizations to assess product risk and drive continuous improvement.
