The Video Engineering group at Apple is seeking a Software Engineer focused on framework development, automation, and data pipeline engineering. This hands-on role operates at the intersection of hardware, software, and machine learning, directly impacting the quality of next-generation Apple products. The team collaborates with Algorithm, Quality Assurance, and User Studies teams to innovate in video engineering. The position requires on-site work in SCV, involving interaction with lab equipment and user study participants.

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
• 2+ years of experience in Python
• 1+ years of software framework design and development experience
• 1+ years of experience with a major cloud platform such as AWS
• Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, SQL, and NoSQL databases
• Experience designing and deploying automated systems
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and engineering best practices
• Experience with robotics or industrial automation, including robot kinematics and motion planning
• Strong curiosity and drive to explore new technologies, including AI/LLM tools
• Familiarity with device automation and UI scripting on Apple platforms
• Experience building internal tooling or lightweight web interfaces
• Good verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
