The Product Installation Engineer at KLA is responsible for the installation and qualification of advanced semiconductor equipment at customer sites worldwide. This role is crucial in ensuring customer satisfaction and the successful performance of KLA products. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to diagnose and resolve technical issues during installations. The position requires extensive travel and the ability to operate independently while adhering to established procedures.

• Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems is required.
• Experience with high-vacuum systems is strongly preferred.
• Comfort working with computer systems, operating systems, and networking is necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities are essential.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are needed.
• A minimum degree of ASET or equivalent work experience in supporting complex capital equipment for the semiconductor industry is required.

• Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
• Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
• Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
• Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools.
