Job description

We are seeking experienced software engineers to develop next-generation graphics and computing products. The role involves collaborating closely with customers to innovate in their factories and data centers. Candidates should possess strong C++ programming skills and a solid understanding of graphics concepts, algorithms, and current hardware architecture. Excellent communication skills and meticulous engineering practices are essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in a related hardware/software position
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills
  • Familiarity with computer architecture and ability to work close to the hardware
  • Background with PCIE, NVLink, or server product technologies like Infiniband or Ethernet is a plus
  • Previous experience working on a large system software code base is preferable
  • Very strong problem solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to self-manage, show leadership, and have good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with architecture, hardware, and driver teams throughout the product development lifecycle of computing and graphics processors.
  • Craft software tools and infrastructure required for new chip development, validation, and productization.
  • Assess new hardware features and architect manufacturing diagnostic tests using pre-beta CUDA and OpenGL extensions.
  • Utilize knowledge of operating systems, algorithms, and computer architecture to provide robust and efficient solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
