Job description
As a Hardware Engineering Program Manager at Apple, you will oversee the technical management of the development and implementation process for electrical design and components within an Audio Product Design team. Your role will involve driving daily activities to meet program objectives while engaging with cross-functional teams. You will manage product prototype builds and serve as the primary contact for Contract Manufacturer partners. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex design strategies.
Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in program management or electrical engineering design
- Excellent communication, collaboration, organizational, presentation, and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of product development processes and manufacturing processes
- Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams including Mechanical Engineering and Design, Manufacturing, Systems Engineering, Reliability, Operations, and Marketing
Responsibilities
- Drive day-to-day activities to meet key program objectives focusing on engineering and development planning
- Manage the planning and execution of product prototype builds
- Lead multi-functional engineering team meetings to discuss design scope and set timelines
- Maintain good communication and provide status updates to individual contributors and executive management
- Embrace ambiguous situations and drive closure
