This role focuses on enhancing simulation workflows and automations to inform design decisions for new technologies. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively to provide early feedback to product design. A strong emphasis is placed on leveraging AI/ML applications to support rapid design iterations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or relevant field of study.
- 5+ years of related work or relevant academic experience.
- Good understanding of simulation workflow CAD > Simulation > Analysis.
- Experience with simulation tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, CST, Comsol, etc.
- Expertise in AI/ML methodologies for system level engineering simulations.
- PhD degree in Engineering or relevant field of study is a plus.
- Deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, and multi-physics simulations.
- Knowledge of 3D modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) methods.
- Experience with finite element/multi-physics tools in domains such as signal and power integrity, desense, RF, electro-magnetics, and structural mechanics.
- Familiarity with automation and workflow processes and scripting languages such as Python and MATLAB.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Create innovative end-to-end modeling and simulation solutions for simulation users.
- Provide validation, application support, and scale up of simulation tools and workflows.
- Implement AI/ML applications to support rapid design iterations using simulation.
- Inform design decisions of new technologies and designs through workflows and automations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to enhance simulation methodologies.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
