Job description
The Tools and Automation Engineer will be part of the Vision Products Group, focusing on quality assurance for innovative consumer products. This role involves writing and expanding automated tests while collaborating closely with software engineers and QA teams. The engineer will leverage existing frameworks and tools, incorporating AI tools to enhance productivity. This position is ideal for someone who values clean automation and enjoys collaborative problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Experience writing automated tests or developing automation tooling
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or a similar programming language
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems and workflows
- Experience with QA methodologies, including manual test execution and bug reporting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools and their application in design, code generation, and debugging
- Experience testing or working with AI and/or ML systems
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience building internal tooling or utilities to support development or testing workflows
- Familiarity with hardware and software co-development or validation environments
- Experience working within agile or iterative development environments
Responsibilities
- Write and expand automated tests based on established frameworks and existing tooling
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA engineers, and team leads to deliver exceptional products
