This position requires a blend of software engineering skills and systems operational awareness. The engineer will work on device certification, vendor abstraction, and fleet automation to enhance device management processes.
Requirements

- Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
- 5+ years of Android development experience, or a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
- Experience with mobile device management (MDM) practices including enrollment, configuration profiles, and compliance enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build a device certification service that automates hardware qualification.
- Design and deliver the ADM vendor abstraction layer with a unified routing API.
- Build fleet automation tooling to replace ticket-driven configuration changes.
- Own the integration layer between MAD's services and OEM vendor SDKs.
- Design device telemetry pipelines for fleet-wide health signals.
- Establish engineering practices for the team including design doc standards and testing strategies.
Benefits
- Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
