Job description

The Senior Product Engineer role focuses on leading the transition from design to global manufacturing for Google's next-generation data center infrastructure. This position is part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions and aims to deliver unparalleled performance and efficiency. The engineer will act as the strategic technical lead, influencing manufacturing strategies and ensuring high-caliber performance standards. The role involves collaboration with global partners to drive systemic improvements and enhance product reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
  • 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • 8 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or development management.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field is preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or development management is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end build, optimization, and deployment of high-complexity data center hardware platforms.
  • Architect design for manufacturing requirements and steer the overarching manufacturing strategy.
  • Serve as the executive technical authority for Root Cause Corrective Action on manufacturing yield issues.
  • Define and execute the design, optimization, and qualification of manufacturing processes for complex components.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives with internal engineers and manufacturing partners to improve product efficiency.
