The Hardware Control Electronics Engineer for Quantum AI at Google will be part of a team focused on developing custom silicon solutions for quantum computing. This role involves leveraging expertise in RF, analog, or mixed-signal design to create high-performance board-level designs. The engineer will work closely with ASIC designers to architect system-level solutions that enhance performance and density. This position is crucial for advancing Google's capabilities in quantum computing and enabling innovative applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design.
- 3 years of experience designing printed circuit boards (PCBs) with GHz-rate data converters, FPGAs, or processors.
- Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Experience in multiple electrical engineering design disciplines, including specification discovery to system deployment.
Responsibilities
- Support deployment and operations of electronics for Google’s quantum computers.
- Contribute to the design of control and measurement systems for next generation quantum computers.
- Drive board-level projects of high complexity to completion, collaborating with a team of engineers.
- Document work and share results with relevant stakeholders.
