Job description
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join their US Places Design & Engineering team. This role involves collaboration with other engineers, architects, and clients on various facility design projects, including federal projects. The engineer will lead the fire protection discipline through all project phases, from pursuit to construction. Travel to project sites is required approximately one week per month.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering.
- Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States.
- Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
- Deep knowledge of life safety codes and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills related to presentations and project communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages.
- Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and project staffing plans.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities.
- Conduct fire protection site surveys and data collection for studies.
- Collaborate with client team members on fire protection projects.
