The Senior P&R Methodology Architect at NVIDIA will define and own the next generation RTL2GDS flow for advanced nodes and high performance designs. This role requires deep hands-on experience across the full RTL2GDS flow, with a focus on optimization and collaboration with various teams. The position emphasizes creativity and self-drive, allowing engineers to explore broad roles in a high-intellectual environment. The architect will work on real-world optimization problems and drive methodologies to enhance performance and timing closure.

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of physical design experience with expertise in industry standard tools like ICC2/Innovus and PrimeTime/Tempus.
• Extensive hands-on P&R experience taking complex blocks or chips to tape-out with aggressive PPA targets.
• Proven skills in Python, Perl, and TCL flow development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Work directly with core P&R engine developers to define real-world optimization problems and shape requirements.
• Define and roll out next-gen flows, including refactoring legacy flows into scalable frameworks.
• Design and run rigorous A/B and multi-variant experiments to compare flows and engines.
• Develop Python-based analytics and ML techniques to mine large QoR datasets.
• Perform deep root-cause analysis on QoR issues and drive methodologies to resolve timing closure and performance limiters.
• Partner with architecture, RTL, DFT, synthesis, physical design, power, signoff, and CAD/methodology teams.
