Job description

The Mac Hardware EPM team at Apple is seeking a candidate to lead the planning and execution of system builds and manage board design release schedules. This role involves coordinating with various internal and external teams to resolve technical build blockers and ensure factory readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hardware engineering or operations program management, particularly in factory builds. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to rapid development cycles.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • A proven track record in hardware engineering or operations program management.
  • Experience in effectively handling factory builds and working with vendors.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to manage complex build matrices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute prototype builds, including materials planning and factory readiness.
  • Establish daily build schedules and distribution plans to support global project plans.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to understand key design changes requiring validation.
  • Drive development timelines for new boards and flexes, leading the internal review process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for contract manufacturers and worldwide team members.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
