Job description

The Developer Experience Platform team at Apple is seeking a Python backend engineer with expertise in Large Language Models and Generative AI. This role focuses on designing and implementing core backend services and pipelines that integrate with various enterprise services. The engineer will contribute to developing developer productivity tools and enhancing enterprise AI platforms. Collaboration with machine learning engineers and software engineers is essential to deliver comprehensive solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in building complex agentic systems using Large Language Models.
  • Strong programming skills in software architecture design and development.
  • 4+ years of software engineering experience specializing in enterprise software development.
  • Expertise in backend technologies including Java and Python.
  • Strong proficiency in database technologies and CI/CD solutions.
  • Experience in Machine Learning with emphasis on Large Language Models, Retrieval Augmented Generation, and Generative AI.
  • Experience working on platform engineering or a developer experience platform is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement core backend services and pipelines for integrating with enterprise services.
  • Ensure accuracy of LLM-based code generation.
