The Apple Services Engineering Commerce group is seeking a back-end Java software engineer to join the Account Services team. This team is responsible for building high-performance services that support transactions for Apple media products globally. The role involves ensuring transactional integrity, scalability, and security for a platform that handles billions of transactions daily. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional user experiences.

• BS degree in Computer Science or related experience, MS or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of software development experience in Java with a strong understanding of object-oriented concepts.
• Deep knowledge and experience using relational databases such as Oracle.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful/RPC APIs and services.
• Strong production, debugging, and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with relational database frameworks like JDBC and object-relational frameworks like Hibernate or JPA.
• Experience using NoSQL solutions like Cassandra, Voldemort, or Memcached.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests with frameworks such as JUnit or Mockito.
• Experience with protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, and SSL.
• Experience with scalable message queue systems like Kafka or RocketMQ is a plus.

• Build back-end services and capabilities shared across iPhone, Mac, and Web.
• Contribute to the architecture, design, and implementation of user-facing features.
