As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in the IS&T Product Engineering and Lifecycle Solutions (PELS) group at Apple, you will focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of the Full Material Disclosure (FMD) Platform. You will collaborate with a skilled team to drive automation and implement DevOps best practices. This role is pivotal in supporting Apple's product innovation and regulatory compliance efforts. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, or a related field in the US.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Good understanding of Siemens Teamcenter architecture.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Good understanding of database principles and working knowledge in distributed storage and infrastructure solutions such as Oracle, Cassandra, SOLR, and Kafka with 1-2 years of experience.
- Good command of Linux and networking concepts, along with troubleshooting skills in large scale environments with 1-2 years of experience.
- Experience with container management and microservices architectures such as Docker across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of Apple's FMD Platform.
- Drive automation and implement DevOps best practices.
- Monitor distributed system architectures and perform log monitoring and analysis.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Teamcenter environments using tools such as Deployment Center and Jenkins.
- Perform Teamcenter software upgrades, patching, or major version transitions.
