Job description

This role is a key position within the innovative GNSS design team at Apple GNSS, focusing on the development of GNSS technology and SoC for ultra-low-power location-based applications. The team is composed of industry-leading experts dedicated to creating transformative GNSS technology. Candidates will engage in challenging work that promotes growth as a recognized technical leader in the cellular industry. The position requires a strong technical background and experience in GNSS or Cellular silicon validation.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong Python programming skills are required.
  • Experience in wireless system or silicon validation.
  • MSEE or beyond is preferred.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in GNSS or Cellular silicon validation.
  • Knowledge of wireless SoC, microprocessor, memory, peripherals, and I/O characterization.
  • Experience with digital interfaces such as USB/SPMI/SPI/UART/I2C/JTAG.
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Experience in hardware design, verification, board design, FPGA, and schematics/layout.
  • Experience with version control (Git) and issue tracking tools (JIRA, Jama, Confluence).
  • Validation knowledge of wireless systems, digital signal processing, and statistics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, especially in a multi-functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop GNSS technology and SoC for novel ultra-low-power location-based applications.
  • Collaborate with the GNSS design team to innovate and solve complex problems.
  • Validate wireless systems and perform silicon validation.
  • Utilize lab equipment to analyze and characterize GNSS technology.
  • Engage in hardware design and verification processes.
  • Maintain version control and track issues effectively.
