The Circuit Design Engineer role at NVIDIA focuses on standard cell characterization and processor design using deep submicron technologies. The team is dedicated to advancing GPU-accelerated deep learning software and enhancing existing tools and simulations. • MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience is preferred
• Strong background in deep submicron process issues
• Deep understanding of the design, verification, and characterization of standard cell libraries
• Familiarity with Liberty models and their application to digital implementation and signoff flows
• Hands-on experience running SPICE simulation and adapting to new simulation tools
• Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, and Make
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and analytical skills
• Ability to learn quickly and be results-oriented
• Past standard cell library or IP characterization experience is a plus

• Work on cutting-edge processor design in deep submicron technologies
• Drive concepts of transistor level circuit design, modeling, and performance analysis
• Support and develop tools using Perl/Python
• Provide creative insights to support existing tools and flows
• Develop new simulations for timing, power, noise, and OCV evaluations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams regarding library issues
• Improve quality checks on library work
