Job description
As a Senior System Debug Engineer at NVIDIA, you will be part of the datacenter product engineering team, focusing on failure analysis and debugging during the New Product Introduction phase. Your role will involve collaborating with industry experts to ensure the seamless transition of GPU Server products from development to mass production. You will leverage your expertise in servers and systems to address complex issues and enhance product quality. Requirements
- 12+ years of working experience in a related field.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Excellent failure analysis or debug experience on motherboards, graphic cards, servers, PCs, or datacenter products.
- Demonstrated knowledge in enabling DFx requirements.
- Proven understanding and strong skills in Hardware, Software, Component, Process, Test, or Validation.
- Strong negotiation, organization, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with sophisticated characterization equipment, including oscilloscopes and analyzers.
- Problem solving mentality.
- Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly and work cohesively with partners.
- Ability to travel to support efforts at factory sites when required.
Responsibilities
- Perform failure analysis on GPU baseboards and servers at rack, system, and/or component level.
- Analyze logs and failures that may span Hardware, Software, and Firmware and propose debug and mitigation strategies.
- Build experiments and collect/analyze data for Failure Analysis root cause.
- Engage in Build for Test, Manufacturing enabling efforts and deliver products according to schedule.
- Provide root cause and corrective action plans in a timely manner and write clear and complete reports detailing steps taken and findings.
- Develop debug guides for partner teams.
- Communicate effectively with industry vendors, suppliers, internal and external engineers, factory personnel, and sales/marketing teams.
