Job description

The Senior Board Test Engineer will work in the Test Solutions Group at NVIDIA, focusing on developing manufacturing test solutions for GPU and CPU products. This role involves leveraging hardware and software expertise to enhance test coverage and automation. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to ensure effective testing strategies and methodologies are implemented. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with post-silicon validation experience in Board or System products.
  • Experience working with manufacturing test programs at platform level.
  • Background with Python programming and bash scripting.
  • Experience working with different board or system level products.
  • Solid knowledge of IPMI, PCIE, BMC, and Thermal Solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to travel, as needed, with potential travel exceeding 30% for certain projects.

Responsibilities

  • Define manufacturing test solutions that translate into methodologies and processes applicable across Board and System product segments.
  • Develop test strategies for new product features, including identification, specification, design, and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
  • Support the development of test content and solutions in Python.
  • Collaborate with different teams to develop GPU and CPU testing coverage, including HW Design, Quality, and Software Development.
  • Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to improve production efficiency.
  • Contribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.
  • Review and provide feedback for DFT in the early design stages.
  • Debug complex hardware and software issues at manufacturing locations in the US, Mexico, and Taiwan.
