Job description
The Senior Board Test Engineer will work in the Test Solutions Group at NVIDIA, focusing on developing manufacturing test solutions for GPU and CPU products in the Data Center. This role requires a blend of hardware and software expertise to enhance test coverage and automation. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to improve testing methodologies and contribute to the development of diagnostic software. NVIDIA seeks innovative individuals to help drive advancements in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience with post-silicon validation in Board or System products.
- Experience working with manufacturing test programs at the platform level.
- Background in Python programming and bash scripting.
- Solid knowledge of IPMI, PCIE, BMC, and Thermal Solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Define manufacturing test solutions that translate into methodologies and processes applicable across Board and System product segments.
- Develop test strategies for new product features, including the identification, specification, design, and qualification of test fixtures, test equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Support the development of test content and solutions in Python.
- Collaborate with different teams to develop GPU and CPU testing coverage.
- Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to improve production efficiency.
- Contribute to automated diagnostic generation and validation infrastructure.
- Review and provide feedback for Design for Testability in the early design stages.
- Debug complex hardware and software issues at manufacturing locations in the US, Mexico, and Taiwan.
