Job description
The Software Engineer II role on the Visual Studio Marketplace and NuGet Team focuses on building and operating CoreAI services that support millions of developers globally. The team is dedicated to delivering secure, high-quality software while leveraging the latest AI tools. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to scalable cloud services that enhance the .NET, Visual Studio, and VS Code ecosystems. The role emphasizes collaboration, peer learning, and a commitment to customer success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex cloud services and systems for Visual Studio Marketplace and NuGet.org.
- Deliver high-scale, high-availability features end-to-end, ensuring world-class service availability, performance, and security.
- Lead by example with technical excellence, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Collaborate in a fast-moving, empowered team environment, partnering across teams for end-to-end solutions and integrations.
- Participate in agile development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and continuous integration.
- Participate in on-call rotation to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability and security.
- Contribute to an inclusive and collaborative team culture, operating with a growth mindset and supporting continuous improvement.
