Job description
The Microsoft Defender engineering team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop and deliver cloud security solutions that protect millions of computers from cyber threats. This role involves leveraging advanced technologies to provide holistic protection within government environments. Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline with proven coding experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements pre-offer and post-hire.
- Verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Build and improve services to ensure scalability and high reliability.
- Deliver and enhance engineering systems and practices for complex cloud environments.
- Contribute to the design and automation of service scale features and customer requirements.
- Investigate and resolve pre-production and production issues, implementing and deploying necessary fixes.
- Participate in an on-call rotation typically lasting one week every 6-8 weeks within a secure facility.
