Job description

In this role, you will be a software engineer on the Azure Managed Grafana team, focusing on building and operating cloud services that enhance observability through AI. You will work on integrating Grafana into Azure to create intelligent dashboards for developers. The position involves designing highly available services and leveraging AI for features like anomaly detection and predictive alerting. Collaboration with Grafana Labs and other Azure technologies will be key to empowering developers with actionable insights.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing commercial software with C#, C++, or Java.
  • 1+ years of proficiency with AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build a highly secure and highly available large-scaled global service.
  • Drive the creation of feature designs and lead design discussions with team members.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain a high standard of code quality and consistency.
  • Implement comprehensive unit and functional tests to ensure robust test coverage.
  • Establish and maintain telemetry to monitor usage and performance.
  • Respond to incidents in a timely manner and work with cross-functional teams to restore service availability.
  • Contribute to and collaborate on open-source projects to enhance offerings.
  • Collaborate with Grafana Labs to enhance security and enrich features based on customer scenarios.
