The Senior Energy Storage Engineer will serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the Power Generation Solutions team at AWS, focusing on the evaluation and development of energy storage designs. This role involves leading complex projects that impact AWS's global infrastructure strategy and requires collaboration with various teams and external partners. The engineer will develop innovative solutions for energy storage systems to enhance power delivery to data centers. The position offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic and diverse environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience leading energy storage designs for utility-scale or complex mission critical facilities
• In-depth knowledge of continuous operating redundant electrical systems and power infrastructure
• Experience and knowledge of inverter controls, EMS, and closed-loop control optimization
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, single and three-line diagrams, submittals, sequence of operations, and electrical drawing packages

• Develop designs and analysis of different energy storage technologies, including battery energy storage systems and utility-scale energy storage.
• Support the integration of energy storage systems with different power sources to serve data center loads.
• Develop controls integration strategies and designs for energy storage systems.
• Create acceptance criteria, test procedures, and performance requirements for energy storage systems.
• Provide feedback to Design Engineering teams for design revisions and operational upgrades.
