The Systems Development Engineer will be part of Amazon's Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team, focusing on developing and delivering advanced fulfillment systems. This role requires strong engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including design, development, and implementation. The engineer will act as a liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations and product development engineers, ensuring successful project delivery. The position emphasizes building relationships across teams and capturing the voice of the customer to improve deployment processes.

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• 3+ years of control system experience including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation, and support.
• Experience with designs of complex, automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, or systems including robotics.
• Demonstrated understanding of life-cycle embedded systems development including hardware and software.
• Experience in testing and implementing software and industrial networking and communications.

• Support the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact.
• Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver high-quality projects.
• Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors.
• Communicate project status and produce clear summaries for the projects owned.
• Capture and synthesize the Voice of Customer for all new product introductions.
