Morgan Stanley's Houston office is seeking a Graduate Petroleum Engineer to join the Oil & Gas Technical Team, which consists of experts in petroleum engineering, geoscience, and GIS. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant transactions within the Oil & Gas industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and a keen interest in upstream oil and gas asset valuation. The role requires both independent work and collaboration within a team environment.
Requirements
- An Engineering Degree is required, with a preference for Petroleum or Chemical Engineering.
- A superior academic achievement with a GPA greater than 3.6 on a 4.0 scale is necessary.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience is preferred, but candidates with no experience may be considered if they are the right fit.
- A strong interest in upstream oil and gas asset valuation is essential.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills are required.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills are necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required.
- Experience in software coding, particularly with VBA Macro Development, Python, or SQL, is necessary.
- A basic understanding of database design and functionality, specifically Microsoft Access, is required.
