The team collaborates closely with security engineers, machine learning engineers, and project managers to enhance security processes and deliver secure results for customers. This position involves supporting AI/ML workloads, including Large Language Model applications, and emphasizes the importance of operational health and system reliability. Candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of their career paths, as diverse experiences are valued.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in Linux systems administration and/or development.
  • AWS certification, such as AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in site reliability engineering (SRE), systems engineering, systems administration, DevOps, security administration, or network administration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes.
  • Experience in application security frameworks, security code reviews, incident response, secure infrastructure, penetration testing, mobile security, cloud security, AI security, identity and access controls, threat modeling, cryptography, threat intelligence, or secure software development.
  • Experience in database technologies such as SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, or Kinesis.
  • Knowledge of one or more ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and ML methods including NLP models and computer vision-based models.
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Python scripting language.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable infrastructure that leverages AI to deliver faster, more resilient services to customers.
  • Develop automation tools and frameworks to eliminate manual operational work.
  • Support AI/ML applications.
  • Own the operational health of services, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues across the full stack, from application to infrastructure.
  • Drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and efficiency through data-driven analysis.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service availability.
  • Collaborate with security and ML teams to improve system architecture and operational excellence.

Benefits

  • Employees at Amazon are often offered comprehensive health benefits—including multiple medical plan options (no pre-existing condition exclusions, 100% covered in-network preventive care), dental and vision plans, a 24/7 medical advice line from day one, expert second-opinion services, and broad mental-health support with several free counseling sessions (including pediatric). Financial wellness typically includes a 401(k) with company match (up to 2%), Restricted Stock Units (equity), FSAs, an emergency savings program, product and partner discounts, and even college-savings and home-purchase programs. Overall, the package is designed to support employees and their families’ health, finances, and day-to-day life.
