The Software Development Engineer will join the AWS Quick RAG team, focusing on retrieval-augmented generation technology for Amazon Quick Suite's document processing and search capabilities. The role involves designing and building scalable ingestion pipelines for multi-modal content using computer vision and machine learning. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to enhance system performance and customer experience. • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience

• Design, develop, test, and deploy distributed machine learning systems and large-scale solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the team to influence overall strategy and define the team’s road map.
• Drive the system architecture and spearhead best practices for quality products.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers through code reviews and technical discussions.
• Review system metrics and performance dashboards to ensure efficient processing of documents.
• Code new features for multi-modal content processing and optimize retrieval algorithms.
