Job description

The role is for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) at Amazon Web Services, focusing on building and operating complex distributed systems. The AWS Secrets Management team is responsible for managing credentials and secrets for internal and customer use. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
  • 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

Responsibilities

  • Design flexible and scalable solutions for complex challenges in large-scale computing
  • Own systems end to end and influence the direction of technology
  • Participate in one-on-one mentoring and thorough code reviews
  • Collaborate with team members to support knowledge sharing and mentorship
