The Event Productions System Engineer role focuses on maintaining the health and operational reliability of technical production systems during events. This position is part of Amazon Engine’s Event Production team, which is dedicated to delivering high-profile events with top-quality audio, lighting, and video technology. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert, providing onsite support and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. Successful candidates will have a strong background in large-scale live event productions and hands-on technical problem-solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree
• 4+ years in an entertainment, film, television, or theatre production environment
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues in live event environments
• Ability to work adaptive event hours and travel domestically approximately 35% of the time
• 3+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac, or Linux Operating systems support experience
• Experience with SMPTE 2110 and Grass Valley systems, and comfortable with all production mediums including audio, lighting, and video

• Collaborate with System and Production Engineers to ensure system quality and adherence to operating procedures and industry best practices.
• Train and develop the production team to improve their skillsets and identify process improvements.
• Provide event setup coordination and recommendations for technical resource scheduling.
• Test and troubleshoot equipment use cases, evaluating risks and determining immediate solutions.
• Create and implement systematic backups for production technologies.
• Support Operational Engineers to solve current problems and proactively implement solutions.
• Quickly identify and resolve problems, escalating complex issues to management as needed.
• Assist with the strike of event spaces, ensuring correct equipment handling and storage.
• Participate in post-event feedback discussions and surveys.
