Job description

The Practice Customer Engineer for Applied AI at Google Public Sector will serve as a subject matter expert in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. This role involves partnering with technical sales teams to showcase the capabilities of Google Cloud to prospective and existing customers. The engineer will develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to address business challenges while engaging in proofs of concept. The position requires excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills to effectively present solutions and collaborate with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with designing cloud-native enterprise-grade technical architecture in customer-facing or support roles.
  • Experience building or leveraging AI solutions, ML APIs, prompting, agent tooling, evaluation frameworks, and modern AI frameworks.
  • Experience with Conversational AI technologies, including designing conversational flows/agents and operating Speech-to-Text, Text-to-Speech (STT/TTS).
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify business opportunities and develop strategies to resolve technical blockers.
  • Share in-depth AI/ML expertise to support the technical relationship with customers.
  • Demonstrate and prototype integrations of Google Cloud products in customer and partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure for successful implementation.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
