The UX Researcher for XR UX Research at Google will join a multi-disciplinary UX team focused on understanding user needs and driving impact throughout product development. This role involves conducting primary research to explore user behaviors and motivations, particularly in the context of emerging technologies like AR and VR. The researcher will collaborate closely with engineering and product management teams to create industry-leading products. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with research methods such as usability studies and contextual inquiries.
- 6 years of experience in an applied research setting.
- Master's degree or PhD in a relevant field is preferred.
- 3 years of experience working with senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a prioritized research roadmap aligned with product strategy.
- Scope and lead research initiatives to understand use cases across multiple AR/VR products.
- Plan and execute various research methodologies including usability testing and user interviews.
- Partner with designers, product managers, and engineers to support consumer launches.
- Provide user-centered insights to inform product strategy and roadmap development.
