The Senior Software Engineer for MySQL Infrastructure will be part of a dedicated team that builds and maintains a managed MySQL platform for Bloomberg's engineering teams. This role focuses on developing automated solutions for database management while ensuring stability and security. • 7+ years of software engineering experience in object-oriented languages such as Java or Python.
• Ability to debug and correct production problems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of modern build and CI/CD tooling including Jenkins, Maven, and Jira.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and multi-threaded programming.
• Experience writing code that interacts with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• SQL fundamentals and understanding of basic database operations.
