Job description

The Senior Global Tunnel Engineer will be a key leader in Jacobs' national tunnel engineering division, focusing on the planning, design, and construction of tunnels and underground structures. This role requires a visionary leader with extensive experience in tunnel engineering and project management. The successful candidate will mentor a team of engineers while driving strategic initiatives and overseeing complex projects. The position emphasizes innovation and collaboration to address critical challenges in tunneling projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in tunnel engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Extensive knowledge of tunnel design and construction methods, including TBM, NATM, and cut-and-cover.
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, PLAXIS, and TunnelCAD.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
